From Backstage to the Digital Frontline

Andrew McAllister (he/him/his) is a website designer and active member of IATSE Local 58 in Toronto. He has worked behind the scenes as an audio technician, lighting designer, and production manager for over a decade. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performance Production from Toronto Metropolitan University, where his involvement in the student movement sparked a lifelong commitment to labour organizing. This passion naturally evolved into union activism and ultimately inspired his career in website design.

Rooted in solidarity and practicality, Andrew creates digital platforms that unite and empower union members. He understands firsthand the importance of effective communication and active member engagement. Whether building a website from the ground up or modernizing an existing one, he provides unions with the tools and support needed to flourish in the digital era.
