HI, IT'S NICE TO MEET YOU!
I’m Andrew (he/him/his), a web designer and proud union member of IATSE Local 58 in Toronto.
As a live event worker, I was hard hit when the pandemic began. With no road cases to push or lights to hang, I harnessed a set of skills I developed while working in the student movement and shifted to web design.
Since then, I’ve helped a number of union locals build a beautiful website for their members.
Your local’s website is an important engagement and communication tool. Get in touch to find out how I can help make it shine!
YOU CAN COUNT ON ME FOR . . .
I offer a free 30-minute video consultation to discuss your website needs with you. From there, I will come up with an estimate of how many hours of work your site will need. I charge $40 CAD ($32.50 USD) per hour – it’s as simple as that.
I will only take on work that I know I have the skills for. If I don’t think I can improve your website according to what you want, I will tell you. I want our agreement to be focused on getting results, so I will only take on projects I know I can complete.
Our relationship will be focused on collaboration to get your new site up and running. I will work with your existing webmaster on the fine details of your site. All I require from you is site content. I will take care of laying out your pages and information in a way that will make your website shine!
I’m proud of the websites I build and think you’ll like them too. Latest projects include: A McAllister Design, IATSE Local 58, IATSE Local 822, IATSE Local 140, and IATSE Local 938. I build sites in WordPress – the most popular and robust web editing tool. I use themes that are mobile-friendly, responsive, and meet the latest accessibility guidelines.
KNOWLEDGE OF UNIONS
As a union member, I know how important it is to have a website that works for your local. Your website is an important resource for your members. I can build a members-only area on your site where you can post collective agreements and other private documents.
I can get your new website up and running – fast. It takes me about a week to design a new theme and edit your site content. From there, the reviewing process can take as little or as long as you would like depending on the amount of changes you want to make.
