Websites built for

IATSE Locals

Hi, it's nice to meet you.

I’m Andrew (he/him/his), a proud member of IATSE Local 58 in Toronto. Like many other stagehands, I continue to be hard hit because of the pandemic.

With no road cases to push or lights to hang, I developed skills in web design in order to pass the time.

I soon discovered a passion for making websites look great, and am thrilled to extend those skills to IATSE Locals looking to redesign or create a new website.

Headshot

You can count on me for:

Upfront Pricing

I offer a free 30-minute video consultation to discuss your website needs with you. From there, I will come up with an estimate of how many hours of work your site will need. I charge $40 CAD ($32.50 USD) per hour for all work done on your website, plus the cost of WordPress expenses – like a theme and plugins.

Honesty

I will only take on work that I know I have the skills for. If I don’t think I can improve your website according to what you want, I will tell you. I want our agreement to be focused on getting results, so I will only take on projects I know I can complete.

Collaboration

To make a good crew, you have to work together to get the job done. Just like in IATSE, our relationship will be focused on collaboration to get your new site up and running. I will work with your existing webmaster on the fine details of your site. All I require from you is site content. I will take care of laying out your pages and information in a way that will make your website shine!

Quality Work

I am proud of the websites I build and think you will be too. A few of my latest projects include A McAllister Design, IATSE Local 58, IATSE Local 822, and IATSE Local 140. I build my sites in WordPress – the most popular and robust web editing tool. I only use themes that are mobile-friendly, responsive, and can be viewed on multiple devices.

Knowledge of IATSE

As an IATSE member, I know how important it is to have a website that works for your Local. Your Local’s website has to be accessible for members, and easy to update and maintain. Knowing what IATSE Locals need from a website is knowledge I bring to the table as a web designer. I can build a safe and secure members-only area on your site where you can post collective agreements and other private documents.

Fast Turnaround

I can get your new website up and running – fast. Typically, it takes me about a week to edit your site content, choose a new theme, and install all the necessary plugins to make your site secure. From there, the reviewing process can take as little or as long as you would like depending on the amount of changes you want to make. All in all – you can have your new website up and running in as little as two weeks.
